Rugby League

St Josephs has a very proud tradition of producing strong  football sides. At some stage SJA has been  the winner of all of the major tiles in the state. These include the State Knock out, Knights  Knock Out, Country Cup, Cochrane Cup and Peel Carnival. The school also  competes in the G21 School Boys Carnival, CCC Cup and numerous local 7’s Tournaments.

Training during Thursday sport allows the Country Rugby League Development offices that ability to enhance the boys' football skills while allowing the Level 2 Couching Students to enhance their coaching abilities.

Many of our students gain selection in the Maitland Newcastle Diocesan teams and have also gained selection in the Northern Country CCC team. A few have gained selection in the NSW CCC team and also the Combined NSW Team.
